Alan Gilbert made his final appearance at Bravo! Vail as Music Director of the New York Philharmonic on July 28, 2017, bidding farewell with Beethoven’s immortal Ninth Symphony (of which the Philharmonic gave the U.S. Premiere in 1846). Watch a clip of the performance, featuring soprano Susanna Phillips, mezzo-soprano Jennifer Johnson Cano, tenor Joseph Kaiser, bass Morris Robinson, and the Colorado Symphony Chorus directed by Duain Wolfe — preceded by a heartfelt message from Bravo!
