WATCH: Kirill Gerstein Plays/Talks Brahms Piano Concerto No. 1

Kirill Gerstein joined us after rehearsal to talk about the beloved work he performs with us this week. He demonstrates its "introspective recollection of the Schumann spirit" and reveals a motivic "watermark" that unifies the work. Hear him perform it Saturday evening and at the Saturday Matinee, both conducted by Susanna Mälkki.
