Please Read: We're Trying Out An Online "Waiting Room"

Posted August 12, 2014

This week many of you have seen the new online “waiting room” on our website, and we just want to explain that a bit.

Every August pre-season ticket sales increase site traffic significantly (up to 15x normal volume). Sometimes that can slow down the site and make things harder for you. So this year, we’re trying out the “waiting room” to help avoid slowdowns and keep the site available and efficient for all. The average wait is less than 1 minute, and you’ll see this queue only sporadically over the next 2 weeks.

We’ve heard from some of you, and we’re encouraged that most of you like it. To give feedback, email Thanks for your patience and your interest in the New York Philharmonic!
