Overview

  • All concerts, conductors, programs, soloists, and prices are subject to change. No refunds permitted.
  • Concerts begin promptly at the announced starting time. Latecomers and those who leave the hall before or during a work will be seated only if there are appropriate breaks in the program.
  • Children ages 5 and up are welcome to attend all New York Philharmonic concerts. Our Young People’s Concerts are specifically designed to delight children ages 6–12 and their families.

Exchanges

Tickets may be exchanged for another concert within the current season, but will be subject to the Philharmonic’s terms and conditions:

All exchanges must be completed at least two hours prior to the concert out of which you are exchanging. We regret that we are unable to exchange tickets from past-dated concerts.

Special offers used for the initial purchase will not apply to exchanges. If you are exchanging into a more expensive section or concert, you will be charged the difference in price. Payment must be made at the time of the exchange. If you are exchanging into a less expensive section or concert, you will accrue a ticket exchange credit that may be used throughout the current season toward other exchanges or additional ticket purchases. Tickets cannot be exchanged into future seasons and ticket exchange credit can be used only for tickets within the season in which it was accrued. The ticket exchange credit will expire at the end of the season and is non-refundable. You may donate your ticket exchange credit toward a membership by calling Customer Relations at 212.875.5656.

Tickets must be exchanged on a 1:1 basis.

Discounted single tickets and complimentary tickets are not eligible for exchange.

Tickets for events in Merkin Hall may not be exchanged for events in David Geffen Hall, and vice versa.

Subscribers can exchange tickets over the phone by calling 212.875.5656. Phone exchanges require the ticket number and authorization number found on the ticket. Non-subscription tickets must be exchanged online or in person at the David Geffen Hall Welcome Center; they are not eligible to be exchanged over the phone. A $10 per ticket exchange fee is applied to all single ticket exchanges.

The Philharmonic is not responsible for tickets purchased via third parties, such as online resale marketplaces or ticket brokers. Third-party tickets may not be valid and may be more expensive than the actual face value of the ticket.

Ticket Donations

If you cannot use your tickets, they can be donated back to the Philharmonic for resale prior to the concert. To donate online, log into your account, select My Upcoming Events, and click the Donate icon next to the tickets you wish to exchange. Everyone can donate tickets over the phone by calling Customer Relations at 212.875.5656. Phone donations require the ticket number and authorization number found on the ticket.

This qualifies as a tax-deductible contribution to the New York Philharmonic, and a tax acknowledgement will be sent to you within two weeks of the concert passing.
