Public funds help deepen the Orchestra’s engagement with all New Yorkers and with listeners across the country and around the world

Funding from city, state, and federal government sources help us share the New York Philharmonic’s world-class artistry with a wide and diverse audience through support for artistic, education, and community programming. Currently, government grants help make it possible for New Yorkers from all walks of life to enjoy the annual free Concerts in the Parks, and allow millions of listeners across the country and around the world to experience our award-winning radio program, The New York Philharmonic This Week. Public funds also provide essential support for our nationally recognized education programs, which will serve close to 50,000 students and teachers during the 2017–18 school year.
