Foundations help us educate and inspire, making a difference in the lives of listeners around the world

Foundation grants provide essential support for artistic, education, and community programs, helping us share the rich resources of the New York Philharmonic with listeners of all ages. Foundation support fosters artistic growth through new commissions, festivals, and residencies; helps nurture a love of music and concert-going through life-changing education programs; and makes the Philharmonic’s performances accessible to millions of listeners around the world through radio and Internet broadcasts.

Grants to the New York Philharmonic can provide general support for programming or operations, or can be designated to a specific program including, but not limited to, the following:

  • A specific concert or series such as Concerts in the Parks
  • Commissions of new works
  • Radio broadcasts
  • Audience development initiatives
  • National and international concert tours and residencies
  • New York Philharmonic Archives
  • Digital Media projects
  • Education and Lifelong Learning programs
