  • General Sponsorship

Sponsors live at the center of our mission to serve our global community through artistic excellence, programmatic innovation, and commitment to social imperatives. Philharmonic corporate sponsors are deeply integrated into our vision, bolstering efforts across all initiatives and supporting the evolution of America’s leading symphony orchestra.

  • Digital Growth

In February 2021 the Philharmonic launched NYPhil+, the on-demand streaming service presenting both newly recorded concerts and treasures from our past. Viewers across the globe can stream performances by New York’s orchestra, some featuring musical legends such as Van Cliburn, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Jessye Norman, and Yo-Yo Ma. New video and audio recordings will be regularly added to our ever-expanding library. NYPhil+ is designed to grow along with the Philharmonic’s long-term goals, and corporate sponsors can play a leading role in propelling our Orchestra into a new landscape enriched by media and emerging technologies. Sponsors have access to benefits that include free and discounted NYPhil+ subscriptions, commercial spots, and exclusive access to content and private events.

  • New Music

Throughout its history, the Philharmonic has performed more than 600 World Premieres, including more than 200 commissions by established and emerging composers. Through a variety of commissioning projects, including Project 19, the Philharmonic continues to support the creation of new works in order to amplify the voices of those typically underrepresented in classical music. Many new works premiered by the Philharmonic move on to be performed regularly by prominent orchestras across the country and the world. New-music sponsors, who underwrite select performances of commissioned works and other premieres, receive extensive crediting and help us continue to introduce new repertoire to our global community.

  • Private Events

Companies seeking special access to Philharmonic musicians for events may do so through a sponsorship. The Philharmonic will work with your company to curate a special event to suit a range of needs.

  • Education & Community Engagement

Music education is vital to students’ development, creativity, and well-being. Our Education initiatives connect students in partner schools across New York City with Philharmonic Teaching Artists, providing high-caliber music instruction through programs like Philharmonic Schools, Very Young Composers Program, and Young People’s Concerts and Young People’s Concerts for Schools, adapting to the needs of each partner school. Education sponsors ensure the continued longevity and expansion of these impactful programs.

The Philharmonic is also deeply committed to deepening the connection with New York City communities. The Concerts in the Parks attract more than 80,000 visitors each year, providing free access to classical music in all five boroughs. We’ve also been privileged to work with a variety of community partners across various initiatives to maximize our impact. Community sponsorships bring our partners to the forefront of our presence across the city and help increase community access to the excellence of the Philharmonic.

  • Membership Groups

Companies seeking special access to the Philharmonic’s member groups can connect with our generous donors through sponsorship. Membership groups include the Leonard Bernstein Circle, Council of the Phil, Patrons, Young New Yorkers, Friends, and Heritage Society. The Philharmonic will work with your company to identify the best match according to your target audience, with special recognition at donor events and across donor materials.
