Updated July 20, 2023

We remain dedicated to making your upcoming performance experience as safe and enjoyable as possible.

Since the start of the pandemic, the NY Phil has worked with medical experts throughout the ever-changing COVID landscape to develop guidelines to mitigate risk and create the safest environment for all. Given current case counts and availability of vaccines, boosters, and antiviral treatments, we are updating our mask policy per the recommendations of our medical advisers:

  • Beginning on October 24, 2022 masks will no longer be required at NY Phil concerts. Masks and face coverings will be encouraged, but they will be optional.
  • The vaccination policy remains unchanged: audience members are not required to show proof of full vaccination in order to attend an event.

We will continue to monitor federal, state, and city guidelines for health and safety in order to ensure your experience with the New York Philharmonic is safe. These include, but are not limited to, meeting HVAC system requirements, enhanced cleaning procedures, and providing hand sanitizer.

The safety plan and visitor guidelines are subject to change as federal, state, and city recommendations evolve. Despite the implementation of enhanced safety measures, an inherent risk of exposure to infectious disease still exists. By attending a New York Philharmonic performance, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to infectious disease.

All ticket holders will receive advance notice of the health and safety protocols in place for their concerts. Any policy or schedule changes will be communicated in a timely and transparent way. Additionally, this page will remain an up-to-date resource.

If you’re feeling ill or have symptoms related to a cold or infectious disease, please stay home.
