Bravo! Vail

Anthony Roth Costanzo, this year’s Mary and James G. Wallach Artist-in-Residence, joins the New York Philharmonic and Jaap van Zweden in two weeks celebrating the complexity of identity and featuring vocalist Justin Vivian Bond, 22nd US Poet Laureate Tracy K. Smith, and more. These concerts include World Premieres by Gregory Spears and Joel Thompson and works by Julius Eastman and Joan Tower. The community partners joining the New York Philharmonic in this exploration are National Black Theatre, El Puente, Casita Maria Center for Arts & Education, Jamaica Center for Arts & Learning, A Better Jamaica, and Flushing Town Hall. See below for related events hosted by our partners.
