Announces the following vacancies:

ASSOCIATE PRINCIPAL, THIRD & UTILITY BASSOON
1 position

All candidates have the choice of playing a live preliminary audition in New York or sending a recording of your preliminary audition. The repertoire is the same for both options. You will be asked to indicate your preference between a live or recorded preliminary audition when submitting your application.

Due to the limited availability of David Geffen Hall, some applicants who wish to play a live preliminary audition may be asked to submit a recorded audition. If we cannot accommodate a live audition, we will notify you by Friday, August 18.

An accompanist will be provided for the concerto in the final round. There may be sight-reading in the final round.
Finalists may be required to play trial weeks with the New York Philharmonic as part of the final audition process.

Finalists may be required to participate in trial weeks with the New York Philharmonic as part of the final audition process.

Employment will commence by mutual agreement based upon the winning candidate’s availability and the New York Philharmonic schedule.

Offered positions are contingent upon the winning candidate’s ability to obtain proper work authorization making them eligible to work for the New York Philharmonic.

Base scale is $153,504 for the 52-week 2023-2024 season.
