Born in London, raised in Atlanta, and now living in Brooklyn, Tolulope Aremu (Tolu) is a first-generation Nigerian-British immigrant who just completed her BFA in fashion design at Pratt Institute. She is the youngest daughter of Kola and Nike Aremu and the sister of Tobi Aremu. Ms. Aremu believes that clothes are made for people, not genders. Because of her background in basketball, she is devoted to reinventing sportswear for all women. She draws from her Nigerian culture in all of her work. She believes in having “life and enjoying it in abundance until it overflows.” Through her work with CFDA / Vogue Fashion Fund winner Chromat, she has been featured in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Vanity Fair, Paper Magazine, and many more. She also has designed and created the Chromat x Black Panther look for New York Fashion Week.
