Biography
Stanichka Dimitrova

Violinist Stanichka Dimitrova won the Stony Brook University (SBU) Concerto Competition, resulting in a solo performance of Sibelius’s Violin Concerto with the SBU orchestra. Her other honors include First Prize in the Barbara Krakauer Scholarship Award Competition at the Associated Music Teachers League in New York City; Hopes, Talents, Masters International Competition; and others. Ms. Dimitrova is a graduate of The Juilliard School and recently received her doctoral degree from SBU, studying with Philip Setzer, Pamela Frank, Soovin Kim, and Philippe Graffin. As a member of the world renowned Verbier Festival Orchestra, Ms. Dimitrova has performed with conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Esa-Pekka Salonen, and Paavo Järvi. An avid performer of contemporary music, she regularly collaborates with new and upcoming composers from the New York City area.
