Biography
Kathryn Curran

Since finishing her enlistment with the United States Premier Coast Guard Band, clarinetist Katie Curran has been an active freelance and chamber musician in the New York and Atlanta areas. She has performed with the New York Philharmonic, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, and Atlanta Symphony Orchestra; on Broadway’s My Fair Lady and The King and I; and with other orchestras and ensembles throughout the United States.

In addition to her performance career, Katie has been a private instructor and outreach clinician since 2001. In the fall of 2011, she was appointed adjunct clarinet faculty at both Emory University and Agnes Scott College. Katie has been working with New York Philharmonic education programs since 2014, and in 2018 she joined the New York Philharmonic Teaching Artist team as an apprentice.
