Biography
Joseph Faretta joined the New York Philharmonic as Stage Representative on January 2, 2012, following a 32-year career with Radio City Music Hall. Born in Bronx, New York, and raised on Long Island, Faretta is a fourth-generation stagehand, who started his career on Broadway at the Broadhurst Theater with Bob Fosse’s Dancin’. He first worked as a freelancer at Avery Fisher Hall in 1979, and began touring with the New York Philharmonic in 2000.
