Biography
Amanda Hudson

Amanda Hudson is a native of Southwest Harbor, Maine, and is a graduate of The Juilliard School, where she received her Master of Music degree in Trombone Performance. As a graduate student at Juilliard, Ms. Hudson was a Morse Fellow and served as an elementary school teaching artist at P.S. 11 in Manhattan. She was also selected as an Instrumental Music Program Fellow, where she taught middle school trombone lessons in Harlem. Ms. Hudson was also a Juilliard Pre-College mentor and selected as a soloist in the Berlin Philharmonic Masterclass series offered through Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute. She was the recipient of the highly selective performance fellowship at the Aspen Music Festival and holds additional degrees from the Mannes College of Music and Interlochen Arts Academy. Ms. Hudson is a member of Symphony in C and has appeared as a performing and teaching artist throughout the country. As a volunteer with Musicians On Call, Ms. Hudson brings intimate one-on-one performances to patients undergoing treatment in NYC hospitals. Her major teachers include Thomas Riccobono, James Markey, and Per Brevig. She lives in Brooklyn, NY, with her husband Caleb, and enjoys running, baking, and crocheting.
