2016–17: Philharmonic Families

Ages 3 – 6 | Sundays at 12:30pm and 3:00pm; Mondays at 10:30am

This coming season, in Philharmonic Families, we present ensembles of strings, brass, and woodwinds – an overview of the entire orchestra, playing music ideal for the youngest listeners. Each concert will explore basic musical ideas through movement, singing, and humor, with the irrepressible Rebecca Young as your host.

Designed by Philharmonic musicians together with faculty of Columbia University’s Teacher’s College, Very Young People’s Concerts combine games, storytelling, and great music in one fun-filled hour that unlocks children’s imagination and talent.
