Service to Staff, Management, and the Volunteer Council

The day-to-day operations of running America’s premier orchestra range from filing papers and stuffing envelopes to various computer and miscellaneous tasks. In addition, running the Volunteer Council requires substantial volunteer support. As a member of one of the Volunteer Council’s committees that serves the staff, management, and the Council itself, you’ll take part in some or all of the following activities:

Staff and Council Assistance

• Assist with mailings, clerical work and other administrative activities, and help with computer related projects required for the ongoing projects of the staff and Volunteer Council

Volunteer Council Membership Development

• Assist with recruitment of prospective volunteers and arrange for interviews, orientation, assignments, and follow-up.

Volunteer Council Meetings and Receptions

• Help to organize refreshments at various Council business functions, which are scheduled throughout the year.
