Volunteers are needed to staff regularly scheduled programs where they act as greeters, guides, and facilitators throughout the year.
Children's Promenades
Taking place before the Young People's Concerts®, these music fairs feature a colorful hour of exciting demonstrations, music-making activities, and a chance for children to meet members of the Orchestra. Children's Promenades occur on four Saturdays during the season and involve many volunteers.
Musical Encounters
Designed to increase the symphonic experience of 4th to 6th graders, this program highlights the current concert in rehearsal. Occurring weekly and generally on Thursday mornings. Volunteers help coordinate school groups, which usually visit on Thursday mornings.
Seminars and Forums
These and other special projects occur on an ad-hoc basis and require volunteer support.
