DONATE STOCK
Support the Philharmonic with a Gift of Securities
Many people choose to contribute to the Annual Fund by transferring securities to the New York Philharmonic rather than making a direct contribution of cash. Should you choose this method of giving, you will not pay any capital gains tax on your gift, and you may be able to claim a Federal income tax deduction based on the full fair market value of the securities on the effective date of your gift.
There are several ways to transfer stock to the Philharmonic. The most convenient way to donate stock to the Philharmonic is to use electronic wire transfer. To inquire about other methods, please contact our Planned Gifts Office.
Procedures for making a wire transfer:
- You may have your bank or broker wire transfer the securities directly into an account the Philharmonic already holds at Morgan Stanley.
- Attention: Gustav Rhein, 2 Penn Plaza, 22nd Floor, New York, NY 10121
