The Alan Gilbert era begins in historic fashion with a
brand-new, never-before-heard overture written especially for
the occasion by Composer-in-Residence Magnus Lindberg.
The world-renowned Renée Fleming will then sing exotic
Messiaen and the evening will conclude with Berlioz’s
spectacular orchestra showpiece.

The Opening Night concert will be broadcast live, and FREE to the public, on a jumbo screen located outside Avery Fisher Hall on the Josie Robertson Plaza at Lincoln Center Plaza at 7:30PM. Chairs will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. No tickets are required.
