Avery Fisher Hall is accessible to individuals with disabilities from the Josie Robertson Plaza and the North Plaza, as well as from the parking garage and the Concourse Level. Enter the parking garage from West 62nd, Amsterdam Avenue just north of 62nd Street or West 65th Street. Handicapped parking is in the Yellow Section. Enter the Concourse Level (below Avery Fisher Hall) from West 65th Street through the tunnel. Accessible entrance is through the Cork Gallery via elevator to Plaza Level and Box Offices. The elevator goes to all levels of the concert hall during performance times.
An automated door at the southeast side of the building provides easy access to Avery Fisher Hall. Simply press the device on the wall to open the door.
Box Office
Tickets may be purchased in person, by mail, telephone or online. When ordering tickets by telephone, please call the box office at (212) 875-5656 and specify wheelchair seating. For ticket availability only, call (212) 875-5030.
Accessible Seating
Tickets are available upon request and subject to availability. Wheelchair accessible seating is located in the last row of the orchestra and the center sections of the first, second and third tiers. Please call the House Manager at (212) 875-5005, 5006 or 5007 the day of the performance to have a seat removed. Wheelchair users who are able to transfer may order an aisle seat when ordering tickets.
Braille and Large Type Programs
Available for all New York Philharmonic concerts. The programs may be obtained at the Resource Information Tables located on the Plaza and Orchestra Levels or from ushers.
Sennheiser Infrared Systems
Headsets and loops are available for hearing impaired patrons. A major credit card or driver's license is needed as a security deposit. Please see the House Manager on the Orchestra Level.
