Philharmonic Free Fridays

Free Fridays

In the 2014–15 season, the New York Philharmonic invites young people ages 13–26 to hear the Orchestra for free. We’re giving away 100 free tickets for young people to every Friday evening subscription concert.

Here’s how reservation works:

The online reservation portal will open at about noon on the Monday before each Philharmonic Free Fridays concert. The link to the portal will be available on this page.

You’ll be able to reserve a ticket on a first-come, first-served basis—one ticket per person. The online portal will close once all available tickets have been reserved.

Your reserved ticket will be available for pickup with a valid ID at our box office in Avery Fisher Hall on the day of the concert between 5:30 and 7:30pm for concerts that begin at 8pm, or between 5:00 and 7:00pm for concerts that begin at 7:30 pm. If you do not pick up your ticket at least 30 minutes before the start of the concert, we may release it.

If you do not reserve a ticket online, we will have a very limited number of Free Fridays tickets available at the box office the evening of the concert. You can pick up a ticket on a first-come, first-served basis with a valid ID during the same box office pickup hours mentioned above (5:30-7:30pm for concerts that begin at 8pm, and 5-7pm for concerts that begin at 7:30).

If you’d like to receive an e-mail notification when the reservation portal opens on concert weeks, follow this link.

We look forward to seeing you at a Philharmonic Free Fridays concert soon!
