In the tradition of its legendary productions of Follies, Sweeney Todd, Candide, and My Fair Lady, the New York Philharmonic performed Lerner & Loewe's Camelot, May 7–10, 2008. The performances starred Gabriel Byrne as King Arthur, Marin Mazzie as Guenevere, Nathan Gunn as Lancelot, joined by Christopher Lloyd, and Fran Drescher, with Stacy Keach as Merlyn, as well as a cast from the worlds of Broadway and opera. Paul Gemignani was the conductor and music supervisor; Lonny Price, the director and script adaptor; Josh Prince, the choreographer; and Thomas Z. Shepard, the producer.
Opening Night
The New York Philharmonic’s semi-staged performances of Lerner & Loewe's Camelot have begun, with stars of stage, screen, and opera, headlined by Gabriel Byrne as King Arthur, Nathan Gunn as Lancelot du Lac, and Marin Mazzie as Guenevere, the woman both men love.
Dress Rehearsal
With Paul Gemignani on the podium, the New York Philharmonic and cast take the stage at Avery Fisher Hall for the final dress rehearsal of Lerner & Loewe’s Camelot, starring Gabriel Byrne as King Arthur, with Stacy Keach as Merlyn.

King Arthur’s illegitimate son, Mordred — played by Bobby Steggert — tries to enlist his aunt, Morgan le Fey — Fran Drescher — into helping him plot against the king.
The Knights in Battle
Fight director Rick Sordelet oversees the meticulous motions required in making a swordfight involving the Knights of the Round Table look smooth and authentic.
Early Rehearsals
